November 14 to 19
Guided tour on tuesday, november 14 at 6.30pm.
This exhibition by Bruno Fert is brought to you in cooperation with Doctors Without Borders.
Interior spaces are an intimate place. They reflect our possessions, our identity, our aspirations.
This project connects photos of interior spaces (tents, cabins, chambers) of refugees with their portraits and their stories. The pictures talk of exile, but also of the dream of Europe of the men and women portrayed on different stages of their journey.
Bruno Fert was born in Paris in 1971. He studies at the École nationale supérieure des Arts décoratifs in Paris and in New York. His works include « Avoir 20 ans en Palestine » (special mention at the Bourse du talent Kodak 2002), « Les tentes dans la ville » (Third place at the World Press Photo 2006) and « Les Absents ». The latter portrays Palestinian villages destroyed in 1948 and won the Prix Scam-Roger Pic 2013 and the Prix Neuflize 2016. He is also a laureate of the Prix de Photographie Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière – Académie des beaux-arts 2016.
Tuesday, november 14 at 6.30pm: guided tour of the exhibition, followed by a debate with the photographer.
