Whether you're a bookworm or books make you shake your head, you'll be safe with our living library!
For the first edition of Europolar, the European crime novel festival, the citizens of Strasbourg have been reading European crime novels for a month. At our living library event, each person will embody the country they have been assigned and will be able to give information on the books they have devoured.
The living books invites you to an overview of European crime literature. Depending on sanitary conditions, the event will take place online or on social networks.
To open the festival, the organisers will propose a conference at 2pm which will explore the places of European crime fiction. What literary traditions of crime fiction exist in different European countries? Which works are translated or ignored in different countries? Why is British crime fiction so popular in France and not Bulgarian crime fiction? These are some of the questions they will answer.
