A speciality from Dresden: a three-layer cake consisting of a pie crust, quark preparation and egg pudding.
Ingredients for the first layer :
– 150g of flour
– 75 g sugar
– 50 g butter
– 1 egg
– 1/2 sachet of baking powder
– 1 pinch of salt
Preparation:
– Mix all the ingredients until you get a granular texture.
– Knead in order to form a ball which will then have to be spread on the buttered mould.
Ingredients for the second layer:
– 750 g Quark
– ½ bag of cooked pudding. (the other half will be used for the last layer)
– 150 g of sugar
– 1 egg yolk
– 2 tablespoons of maizena
– 1 pinch of salt
– Juice of half a lemon
Preparation :
– Mix all the ingredients with a mixer for about 2 minutes until the texture is very creamy.
– Then pour this preparation on the first layer in the mould.
Ingredients for the third layer:
– 125 g butter
– the other half of the cooked pudding
– 100 g powdered sugar
– 3 egg yolks
– 2 tablespoons of maizena
– 1 tablespoon vanilla sugar
– 4 egg white
– 1 pinch of salt
Preparation :
– Mix all the ingredients with a mixer until the mixture is creamy.
– Beat the egg whites until stiff.
– Add the egg whites to the previous mixture.
– Pour the mixture into the mould.
– Preheat the oven to 180° and let cook about 1h30.
